These Terms and Conditions of Service govern your use of the LuxB app
and platform. By accessing or using LuxB, you agree to these terms.
Additional provisions apply depending on whether you use LuxB as a
lender or renter.
1. What LuxB Is
LuxB operates an app that enables users to advertise items for rent,
rent items from other users, communicate with each other, pay for
rentals, and seek dispute resolution for hired items.
LuxB provides the platform only. We do not own the listed items and
are not a direct party to rental agreements between lenders and
renters.
2. Important Warnings About Lending and Borrowing

Lenders are responsible for ensuring items match their descriptions,
are fit for purpose, and are safe to use.

Renters are responsible for the items they hire, including damage,
loss, and any harm caused to people or property through their use.

Lenders remain responsible for complying with applicable law,
including consumer protection obligations tied to the items they
list.
3. Your Relationship With Us
These terms, together with documents referenced in them, form the
Terms of Service governing your relationship with LuxB. If you do not
agree with them, you must not use the LuxB Service.
4. Information About Us
LuxB Service Ltd is registered in Norway, with a registered address at
Ole Vigs gate 25, Oslo 0366, Norway.
5. Information About You
Your privacy matters to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to
understand how we collect, use, and share information about you.
6. The LuxB Service
LuxB allows lenders to advertise items for hire and communicate and
contract with renters through the app. We may also provide social
features that let users message one another and share activity, and
any use of those features must comply with our acceptable use rules.
7. Setting Up Your Account

To use LuxB, you must create an account with a valid email address
and password.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a
binding agreement in your country of residence.

You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for
activity carried out through your account.

If you suspect misuse of your account, contact `support@luxbapp.com`
immediately.
8. Your Right to Use LuxB

The LuxB app, platform, and related materials belong to LuxB or its
licensors.
- Your right to use LuxB is personal and non-transferable.

You may not copy, sell, alter, reverse engineer, or attempt to
access unpublished code or infrastructure related to the service.

All copyright, confidential information, and intellectual property
rights in the service remain with LuxB or its licensors.
9. Lender Specific Terms

Lenders must have the rights required to rent out listed items.
-
Listings must be accurate and include any relevant defects,
restrictions, and safety instructions.
-
Items must conform to their descriptions, be safe to use, be fit for
ordinary use, and be lawful to offer for hire.
-
Lenders set their own hire fee, but the listed price must be the
total payable amount, including taxes or delivery costs where
applicable.

Listings may be removed or a rental may be cancelled up to 48 hours
before the start of the hire period, or later if the renter agrees.
If cancellation happens within 48 hours of the start date, the
service fee will not be refunded.
10. Renter Specific Terms

Renters receive a limited personal right to use the hired item for
the agreed hire period.

Renters must use items lawfully, follow any reasonable instructions,
and return items in the same condition in which they were received.

Renters are responsible for any loss of or damage to the hired item.

A renter may cancel before a request is accepted, or within 48 hours
after submitting the request as a cooling-off period, unless the
request is within 48 hours of the start date. Eligible cancellations
receive a full refund.

If a renter misses the return deadline, they must notify the lender
or LuxB immediately and pay for any agreed extension.

Late fees are 20% of the item's retail value per day, and LuxB may
charge the saved payment method for those fees.

If an overdue renter becomes uncommunicative, LuxB may place a
holding deposit up to the full value of the item.
11. Fees and Payment
-
LuxB collects the hire fee from the renter on the lender's behalf.
-
Unless payment fails or fraud concerns arise, lender payouts are
made within 24 hours of the rental start date.

LuxB charges a 10% lender fee, deducted from the lender payout.
- Renters also pay a 10% renter fee on top of the hire fee.
-
Users must provide valid and current payment details and authorize
LuxB to charge amounts owed.

If payment remains unpaid for 7 days after notice, LuxB may suspend
access to the service. Chargebacks on valid amounts due may also
trigger immediate suspension.
12. Your Content

You confirm that any text, images, reviews, or information you
upload complies with the acceptable use rules.

You retain ownership of your content, but you grant LuxB a
worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use,
reproduce, distribute, adapt, publish, and make it available as
needed to operate the service.

You must have the right to grant this license for any third-party
content you include.

LuxB may monitor, reject, or delete content that breaches these
terms or the acceptable use rules.
13. Rules of Acceptable Use
When using LuxB, you must not interfere with platform security,
impersonate others, post unlawful or misleading material, upload
content you do not have rights to use, harass others, scrape the
service through automated systems, or move transactions off-platform
after meeting through LuxB.
Off-platform transactions are treated as fee avoidance and may trigger
liability for double the avoided fees or a £200 fine per incident,
whichever is greater.
Breaches may lead to content removal, warnings, account suspension or
termination, legal action, and disclosures to law enforcement where
appropriate.
14. Notice and Takedown
Anyone may report infringing or non-compliant content by sending an
infringement notice to `support@luxbapp.com` with their name, contact
details, an explanation of the issue, and enough information to
identify the content concerned.
15. Resolving Disputes Between Lenders and Renters
- Users are encouraged to resolve disputes directly first.

Renters are responsible for reimbursing lenders for lost or damaged
items, including repair or replacement value.

Lenders may be asked to provide proof of purchase, pre-rental
photos, and evidence of damage.
-
If LuxB mediates a dispute, LuxB may charge a settlement fee of up
to 30% of the amounts determined to be payable by the renter.

Any money owed under these terms must be paid promptly and no later
than 48 hours after request, and LuxB may debit the saved payment
method if necessary.
16. Lender Guarantee
Where a lender cannot recover the cost of repair or replacement, LuxB
may reimburse the lender on a case-by-case basis if sufficient support
is provided, such as proof of purchase and pre-shipment photos.
Any payment LuxB makes to a lender does not remove the renter's
obligation to pay for items that were lost, stolen, or damaged.
17. Ending Our Relationship

If you no longer agree to these terms, you must stop using LuxB.

You may close your account by contacting LuxB through the support
channels provided.

LuxB may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms or
other important platform rules.

On termination, LuxB may delete content and account information, and
you may lose access to the service and uploaded materials.

Ending the relationship does not remove any payment obligations you
already owe.
18. Our Liability to You

LuxB is not responsible for third-party content listed or made
available through the service.
-
The service is provided on an "as available" and "as is" basis.
-
LuxB's liability for claims arising from the service is capped at
the amount paid to LuxB in the 12 months before the claim, or zero
if no amount was paid.

LuxB is not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable.
-
Nothing here limits rights you may have under applicable law,
including liability for personal injury or death caused by
negligence.
19. Resolving Disputes With LuxB
If you have a dispute with LuxB, please contact `support@luxbapp.com`
first so we can try to resolve it informally. If that does not work,
we will discuss the most effective next step for resolving the
dispute.
20. Changes to the LuxB Service
LuxB may update, improve, reset, discontinue, or change parts of the
service over time, including features and stored service elements.
Continued use of LuxB after such changes indicates acceptance of those
changes.
21. Platform and App Distribution
When accessing LuxB through a store or distribution platform, those
providers remain platform providers only. Your use must comply with
the platform's terms, but LuxB remains responsible for the LuxB app
and service itself.
22. Beta Trial
The terms state that LuxB may be provided on a beta trial basis and
that some parts of the full service may occasionally be unavailable.
23. Changes to These Documents
LuxB may revise these terms from time to time. The latest version will
always be made available in the Terms & Conditions section of the
platform. Some changes may take effect immediately where necessary.
24. Entire Agreement
The current version of these terms contains the only terms that apply
to the relationship between you and LuxB. If one part is
unenforceable, the remaining provisions will still apply.
25. Governing Law
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. LuxB will initially seek to
use Norwegian courts for disputes, without affecting any rights you
may have under the law of the country in which you are resident.

We welcome feedback about the service. By submitting feedback, you
allow LuxB to use it without restriction and without compensation.
